RT @PowerShellMag: New on #PSMag: #PowerShell Detective by @bielawb http://t.co/UnQacmM7
I’ve been employed by one of the largest insurance companies in Serbia for more than 16 years. Over that time I’ve worn many hats including systems analyst, DBA and, for the past 11 years, system administrator. I’ve been a script junkie for a long time. I played with early WSH and remember, not too fondly, spending hours searching for help, white papers, or any other form of documentation I could lay my hands on to solve problems. It’s hard to imagine today, when almost every Microsoft product team has its own blog, that it was once difficult for sysadmins to reach out to Microsofties for information.
I participated in some early Monad betas years ago but found it too complicated for my needs. When Monad became PowerShell, I decided to give it another try and I’ve been hooked ever since. PowerShell has quickly become an integral part of my daily life. I use it to automate Active Directory management and to write auditing scripts designed do keep my systems secure. Today, I can’t imagine sitting at my keyboard and not seeing the familiar PowerShell prompt in front of me.
In addition to using PowerShell, I like participating in the PowerShell community. I’ve become friends with many PowerShell bloggers and MVPs. I enjoy speaking about PowerShell at conferences in Serbia, and I’m an active member of several IT Pro user groups and co-founder of user group in my town town.
